✦ Motorists will soon see significant improvements to the Pacific Highway/Oxley Highway interchange, Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams said today.

“Night works are set to start on Sunday on phase two of the works which will increase capacity of the northbound exit ramp from one lane to two lanes.
“The work will be carried out from Sunday 24th November to Friday 6th December between 8pm and 5am which means the exit ramp will be closed during those times.
“Motorists are advised to use the Sancrox Road exit from the Pacific Highway.
“Motorists who regularly use the interchange will have experienced queuing, often onto the highway itself which raises serious safety concerns. It is critical that this issue is addressed to maximise safety for all road users and I’m pleased to see work commencing.”
“This project was funded by the previous Liberal and Nationals Government as part of a proposed more comprehensive upgrade of the interchange to improve safety and allow for the development of a proposed service centre adjacent to the highway,” Mrs Williams said.
