✦ EaTs Soul Savour Festival on 31st August was a resounding success, bringing together the community to raise funds for charities, and more importantly, to normalise reaching out with 'R U OK?'.
This year's EaTs Soul Savour Festival was a sell-out event, starting off with a bang at maximum capacity with a total of 78 different vendors across industries such as gastronomy, markets, wellness, children's corners etc. It was certainly the biggest local festival event at Port Macquarie!
It was very much a celebration of community, culture and love. Friends, families, familiar faces from small businesses in our communities all came together to support one another. With such an incredible turnout of people to raise funds, it was clear that Port Macquarie is showing support especially to charity and mental health organisations such as Self Seen Men's Mental Health, a new facility focused on providing critical support, Mid North Coast Lifeline with their vital work in suicide prevention and YP Space, which helps tackle youth homelessness.
R U OK?
A few simple words can make a difference in someone's life. 12 September is R U OK? Day, and it is an invitation to connect meaningfully with the people around us and start a conversation with those who may be struggling with life.
