Children's Superhero Art Show at Wauchope Art Gallery

✦ Hello children! Who is your superhero? Bring it to life in an artwork and share it in an art exhibition!

Wauchope Art Gallery together with TG’s Childcare, Brilliant-Online and Wauchope Chamber are paying tribute to the superheroes in our lives and inviting the creative spirit in children across the Hastings region to come out and explore!

Kids Superhero Art Show Wauchope Art Gallery｜Brilliant-Online

Children can draw their superhero and send in their artwork to be part of the Children's Superhero Art Show.

"Each of us have our own unique talents, and there's incredible satisfaction in guiding curious and creative young minds to discover their individual gifts. This involves providing children with opportunities to foster and develop their talents and gifts while empowering them and building their confidence to eventually share them within their communities. At TG's, our dedicated Early Childhood Educators meticulously curate the children's year-long creations, assembling them into portfolios that are presented to families on graduation day. We acknowledge and celebrate every part of their creative process. Who is a superhero?

A superhero could be anything and anyone. You may well be thinking of Ironman or Superman, but if you look around you, there are superheroes everywhere who are not in a high-tech suit or don a cape. It could be a family member, a profession in the community e.g. firefighters, nurses etc. It could even be imaginary! And hey, YOU could be a superhero too!

There are prizes to be won, so let the children have their artistic space, materials and freedom and simply get brilliantly creative!

The children's artworks will be on display at Wauchope Art Gallery, Shop1, 7 High St Wauchope from 26th to 30th September 2023, 8am to 6pm.

Entry Requirements

Open to preschoolers and primary school children in the Hastings region
Must be A4 size
All works must have the child's name, age and name of preschool or school on the back of the artwork
All works must be dropped off at Wauchope Art Gallery by 3pm Friday 15th September 2023

*Only the child's first name and name of school will be publicly shared on the artwork labels in the gallery, and through print or online promotions.

Those of us who are no longer children, we can still participate in this event! Would you like to sponsor a prize? Wauchope Art Gallery is creating opportunities for young artists to display their art. There are many little artists in our communities who need encouragement and lots of nurturing to be brave and share their art with the world. Every little artist who picks up a crayon, a paintbrush is a superhero. It is an act of courage to share one's creative work with others.
